bullets to brilliance
So, those promised blogs never happen...my apologies to anyone who might still have this in their bookmarks. A lot has happened since I last posted.
- I finished my applications to graduate school and have since heard back. Out of the nine programs I applied to, I was accepted into two and waitlisted at one. I just returned from making my final decision: Carnegie Mellon. To my surprise..no 77 trombones. No parade. No collapse at the knees relief. Thoughout the entire process I've been waiting for that moment when I know it has all fallen into place; I have a definite plan.
- Not one high-five from the post office worker did I get when I turned over my heartachingly-prepared application package.
- No flashing lights (nor confetti) at the self-serve station when my sleepy-eyed, pajama-clad self dropped a packed envelope into the abyss.
- No angel chorus while I, tearful and soul-searching, re-penned my statement of purpose for Carnegie Mellon.
- As the results poured (see: more like trickled) in, rejections didn't leave me tearful and weren't half as embarrassing as I had anticipated. (Billy S.- I'm starting to have questions about the world being a stage. My life isn't selling many tickets.)
- Visiting CMU was amazing and for the first time I (briefly) felt like I had a plan.
- Sending in my acceptance of CMU's offer I waited until the last minute (er...past the last minute) and had to pay extra for expedited shipping.
- Applying, waiting, hearing back, visiting, and deciding has yet to offer me the feeling of *finished* that I'm waiting for...now I have to figure out how to pay for it.
- Billie is in heat and has peed all over my apartment.
- baking soda
- vinegar and water
- fabric "refresher" with ambiguous list of ingredients
- aggravation
- I had a job at a portrait studio in the mall.
- Still working on my photography
- slower
- an somehow getting worse?
- obsession with bullet points?

I was cheering for you! There was a whole parade in your honor consisting of me and all those trombones just for you...!
Congrats again on CM, I havent had that moment yet either where things seem to all fall into place, but I have faith that eventually its going to happen.
What happened with the job?
I miss you! We need to go do the nacho thing again soon.
Highly belated congratulations.
